A DEPLETED Hambleden side needed extra time to make it through to the next round of the Wycombe Senior Cup at Great Missenden on Saturday.
The hosts made a lively start but Hambleden were proving no pushovers, with strike pair Paul Reading and Chris Sanger causing trouble in the opponents’ half.
Missenden were putting some good moves together and it was a mistake from a corner which allowed the hosts to take the lead. The visitors hit back when a deep ball in from Adam North was headed back across goal for Reading to volley home from close range.
In the second half Missenden were piling on the pressure and their endeavour was rewarded with a goal after 75 minutes.
Hambleden equalised five minutes from time when Adam North wriggled his way through the Missenden defence and passed to Chris Brunning to fire home.
