AFC HENLEY U16s went down to a 2-0 East Berks League Division 3 defeat at home to promotion-chasing WOODLEY WANDERERS U16s on Saturday.
The game flowed from end to end but neither team could find a way through in the first half. Henley went close with a 30-yard shot from Henry Arthur before goalkeeper Greengrass held a long range shot from Woodley with attackers closing in.
Ten minutes into the second half the visitors took the lead with a strike from the edge of the area.
Henley pushed forward in search of an equaliser and with 10 minutes remaining a Woodley defender managed to save a shot from Hancock with the keeper beaten.
Henley kept the pressure up but with numbers forward Woodley broke away to score their second of the match.
