Hurricanes U9s blow rivals away to lift plate

AFC HENLEY HURRICANES U9s ran out winners of the East Berkshire FC Plate at Ascot against WESTWOOD WANDERERS HOOPS U9s.

The pick of the bunch of Henley’s goals was the third one. Goalkeeper James Preston played the ball to the free standing Oliver Shute, who played a pass into space on to the left wing, chased by Archie Smith who pulled off a cross at pace for striker Tyler Childwick to fire home.

Henley’s defence also played well with Luke Morgan, Sonny Munro and George Hughes keeping the Hoops at bay.

AFC HENLEY HOTSPURS U11s secured the East Berkshire League title with a 3-2 win over FINCHAMPSTEAD U11s. Finchampstead started the brighter of the two sides and raced into a two goal lead.
