Tegg nets five in Wargrave romp

ROTHERFIELD UNITED are bottom of the Premier Division after going down to a 1-0 defeat against COOKHAM DEAN at Bishopswood. United have failed to win any of their first five matches of the season.

In Division 1 SONNING got off to a disastrous start as they crashed to a 9-1 defeat away to WOODLEY HAMMERS. Clive Akem-Che was on target for the visitors. GORING UNITED got their Division 2 campaign off to a winning start with a 3-2 win away to MORTIMER RESERVES. United’s goals came from a Jack Munnay brace and a strike by Jack Purser.

GORING UNITED RESERVES went down to a an opening day 4-0 defeat against SHINFIELD in Division 4. WARGRAVE RESERVES thrashed HURST RESERVES 7-0 at the Recreation Ground in a game that saw Dan Tegg score five goals against his former side. Rory Stagg netted on his debut while Alex Garnet scored from 30 yards out.
