Bees buzzing following second half fight back

AFC HENLEY HOTSPURS U12s drew their opening day East Berks League Division 4 fixture 4-4 with EVERSLEY.

Henley started a little sluggish as Eversley raced to a two goal lead. Henley pulled a goal back through Jack Rait and were soon level when Will Symons fired home only for Eversley to re-take the lead on the stroke of half-time.

The second half was an even affair as Henley keeper Alex Tams was in inspired form with a series of fine saves. Henley drew level when Leo Browne finished off a neat move and then took the lead when Xavier Mica cut in from the left to hammer home.

With just five minutes to go Eversley levelled the scores to secure a point.

ROTHERFIELD UNITED U12s lost out in their opening Berkshire Youth Development League match of the season as they went down 4-1 to MAIDENHEAD MAGPIES U12s. Rotherfield found themselves overrun, and at half-time were 4-0 down with two players having to leave the pitch with ankle injuries.
