WOODCOTE/STOKE ROW moved to the top of the Thames Valley Premier League’s Premier Division with victory away to Bracknell-based Berks County.
Woodcote were quick out of the blocks and creating early chances which all went begging.
Berks County were forced to defend desperately but in their first attack after 12 minutes they took the lead. An attacker rode the challenge of Sam Green and chipped over Mark Pearson in the Woodcote goal for 1-0.
Two minutes into the second half Worsfold opened his and Woodcote’s account. Frank Dillon’s corner was well-placed and Worsfold rose above the defence to head powerfully home.
On 54 minutes Worsfold rifled home in a packed area with the defender on the goal-line unable to keep the ball out. The hat-trick was completed on the hour mark when Worsfold got in front of his marker at the near post to head powerfully home from another Frank Dillon pinpoint cross.
