FOOTBALL: Henley Town Football Club members gathered at the clubhouse for the annual meeting.

Considering the problems of last season, the meeting was remarkably upbeat.

New additions to both the management side and the committee could well have explained the optimism.

A new treasurer and a new vice-chairman were voted in, while a new post of development officer was introduced.

The new officials are: President John Bailey, Chairman Jack Hollidge, Vice-chairman Chris Faulkner, Secretary Tony Kingston, Treasurer Lynn Booker, Development Officer Andy Davies. The committee will be completed by David Silvester, Phil Bell, Bob Maskell, Peter Sinclair, Andy Bryan and Michael Trendall.

The occasion also saw the annual presentation of the Eric Bailey Memorial Cup for the past season. This goes to the person judged to have contributed most to the club over the previous year and the winner was Jack Hollidge.
