HENLEY TOWN’S Sunday team, unbeaten winners of Division 1 (East) of the Reading Sunday League, celebrated their success at the Invesco Perpetual Triangle last Sunday.

Sam Bell senior received the trophy for players’ player of the year, while Andy Meaner was the manager’s player. Top goal-scorer was Paul Nobes with 24.

Meanwhile Henley, who will be fielding sides in the Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1, the East Berks League Division 1 and the Reading Sunday and District League Premier Division, started pre-season training last night (Thursday). Training will take place every Tuesday and Thursday at 7pm at the club’s Mill Lane Ground.
