READING midfielder Daniel Carrico, who joined the club from Sporting Lisbon in January, has made a season long loan move to La Liga side Sevilla.
Carrico, who was signed by former boss Brian McDermott, only played a handful of games for the Royals and his new club has the option to sign the player once the loan agreement runs out.
Meanwhile winger Hal Robson-Kanu has signed a new three-year contract that will keep him at Madejski Stadium until 2016.
The 24-year-old Welsh international said: “I’m delighted to sign a new contract and it’s a fantastic feeling to commit my future to Reading Football Club.”
The Royals drew their opening match on their tour of Portugal 1-1 against Beleneses on Tuesday.
The hosts took the lead from the penalty spot before Adam Le Fondre equalised late on in a match that saw boss Nigel Adkins field 21 players. Tonight (Friday) Reading play Olhanese at the Rio Maior Sports Centre in Rio Maior.
Last Saturday the Royals won their first pre-season match of the campaign with a 3-1 triumph over Wycombe Wanderers at Hogwood Park.
Meanwhile Reading have had another Championship match moved due to live TV coverage.
The Royals’ home game with Brighton and Hove Albion has been switched from Saturday, September 14 to Sunday, September 15 with a 1.15pm kick-off. The game will be screened live on Sky Sports.
As a result of the fixture change the Royals home match with Leeds United the following Tuesday has been put back to Wednesday, September 18.
