INJURY-HIT HENLEY TOWN were held to a draw for the second league game running, this time against PURLEY at the Triangle Ground in their Premier Division clash.

Henley took the lead on the half-hour mark when Matt Sinclair sent over a cross which Sam Bell junior scored. Bell was unfortunate when a later shot hit the post, but Henley should have scored more often as they dominated the opening half.

Purley had more of the game in the second period and with 10 minutes remaining equalised by means of a deflected free kick.

HENLEY YMCA UNITED are still searching for their first points of the season after going down to a heavy 9-3 Division 1 East defeat at home to WHITLEY WOOD.

Division 1 West league leaders SOUTHCOTE proved too strong for GORING UNITED as the visitors ran out 4-0 winners.

In Division 2 West SC UNITED picked up a point from their 1-1 away to CALCOT LOCOMOTIV. Scott Gyngell netted for United in the first half before Calcot equalised just before full time.

Elsewhere in the division KIDMORE END RESERVES went down to a 2-1 defeat against BARTON ROVERS RESERVES at Gallowstree Common. Kieren Chard was the scorer for the hosts.
