Hayden’s strike maintains Kidmore’s unbeaten run

ONLY six matches survived the wet weather on Sunday in the Reading and District League.

In Division 1 West GORING UNITED went down to a 2-1 defeat at home to PURLEY JUBILEE.

Goring started the game slowly and went 1-0 down after 10 minutes when they failed to deal with a free kick leaving a Purley player with a simple tap-in inside the six yard box.

Purley extended their lead in the second half when they scored from a 25-yard shot that flew into the top corner.

Goring then started to get back into the game and on 65 minutes pulled a goal back when a Mark Pearson corner was headed in by Jonny Wale.
