WATLINGTON stretched their winning streak to four matches, despite a lacklustre performance in the Ben Turner Cup.

Slow out of the blocks, the hosts struggled to establish any dominance in a generally poor first half and were thankful for tidy goalkeeping from James Conn as both sides entered the interval goalless. Watlington improved after the break and settled the result following a brace of lobbed finishes from in-form striker Johnny Pitts.

Northway’s Kyle Pullen netted a late consolation goal in injury time but it was too late to put the result in any serious doubt.
