WARGRAVE moved up to fifth in Division 1 after picking up a point from their 1-1 draw at home to WESTWOOD UNITED RESERVES.
The hosts pressed high and managed to play most of the first 45 minutes in the Westwood half, creating several scoring opportunities which they were unable to convert.
The second half was more even and Westwood took the lead within five minutes of the start when a long ball caught the Wargrave centre backs out and Jamie Bell netted with a lobbed finish.
Westwood then took control for 15 minutes and pressured for a second goal but Wargrave rallied for the remainder of the match.
During this time Dan Clark netted but his effort was ruled out for offside while Callum Hunter put a lob just over the bar, Liam Roberts forced the Westwood keeper into a good save with his feet and Stuart Moss saw several curling efforts drift wide.
Despite Wargrave’s constant pressure, frustration began to grow as Clark was sent off with three minutes to go after picking up his second yellow card of the match.
With just 30 seconds left on the clock Stuart Moss was put through and in a one-on-one situation he beat the Westwood keeper to level the scores.
In Division 2 WOODCOTE/STOKE ROW RESERVES ran out 3-1 winners away to WOKINGHAM AND EMMBROOK A.
In a match which the visitors dominated, Andy Taylor scored two goals while Carl Smith also got his name on the score sheet.
Elsewhere in the division, GORING UNITED RESERVES picked up their first point of the season season as they drew 2-2 at home to TWYFORD AND RUSCOMBE.
