Dragons on fire

HAMBLEDEN RESERVES suffered a 4-1 defeat against hosts Flackwell Heath Dragons in the Premier Division of the Wycombe and District League

HAMBLEDEN RESERVES suffered a 4-1 defeat against hosts Flackwell Heath Dragons in the Premier Division of the Wycombe and District League on Saturday.

Against the run of play Flackwell counter attacked and broke forward with pace to open the scoring.

Hambleden levelled on 30 minutes when the Dragons keeper split a high cross and Martin Power was on hand to tap in the loose ball for his first goal of the season.

Flackwell retook the lead just before half time from a free-kick and scored a third from a fast counter attac.

In the second half Hambleden switched to three at the back to try and force a way back in the match. The stags won a penalty when Rhydian Grange was hacked down in the box but Tom Smith  screwed his effort wide from the spot.

The hosts  netted again after 55 minutes to complete the scoring.
