THE Oratory hosted Shiplake College for the first time in a football block fixture as well as welcoming them into the Thames Valley Schools’ league for first, second and third teams.
In the third team match Oratory played their best football of the term and won 3-1 with U16 Will Barber netting two goals on his debut.
The Oratory 2nd team were 2-1 up at half-time and went on to win 5-1 with Jack Woodard scoring a hat-trick. In the first team clash the Oratory ran out 4-1 winners. The hosts raced into a 2-0 lead before Shiplake pulled a goal back with a long distance strike by Charlie Proctor.
Shiplake had the upper hand but a change of formation saw the Oratory score two more goals midway through the second half, with James Murphy netting a hat-trick.
In a non-league fourth team match the Oratory ran out 5-2 winners with Jeffery Tam netting a hat-trick.
