HENLEY TOWN have now finished their league fixtures for the season. In finishing sixth in Division 1 East of the Uhlsport Hellenic League, they are one place higher than last season, having taken four more points, writes John Bailey.

There will be one more senior match to come if the Town pulled off a surprise yesterday (Thursday) evening and reached the Reading Senior Cup final.

While the first team’s season is beginning to wind down, both the Sunday team and the youth side have league matches still to come. The Sundays visit Whitley Wood this weekend, kick-off 10.30am and entertain Southcote on Thursday, kick-off 6.15pm.

The youth team’s trip to Reading Town had to be postponed because the Scours Lane pitch was unavailable. The youths’ next match will be on Thursday, at home to Kidlington Youth at 7.45pm.
