ROTHERFIELD UNITED picked up a point as they drew 1-1 away to UNITY in their Premier Division clash. Simon Frost netted the visitors’ goal on the stroke of half-time.
Elsewhere in the division Woodcote/Stoke Row’s home match with Mortimer was postponed due to a waterlogged pitch.
Visitors WOODCOTE/ STOKE ROW RESERVES leapfrogged hosts WARGRAVE as they eased to a comfortable 7-0 win in Division 2 with six goals being scored in the second half.
James Elderton put the visitors in front on the half-hour mark. A second half hat-trick from Jake Dillon and goals from Andy Taylor, Mike Stroker and Tom Brownlow saw the visitors comfortably pick up all three points and move out of the relegation zone.
Elsewhere in the division SONNING slipped to second from bottom in the division after going down 9-1 at home to league leaders WESTWOOD UNITED RESERVES. Tony Turner was on target for the hosts.
In Division 3 WARGRAVE RESERVES slipped to a 2-1 defeat at home to FINCHAMPSTEAD RESERVES.
ROTHERFIELD UNITED RESERVES moved off the foot of Division 5 thanks to a 6-1 victory against AFC CORINTHIANS RESERVES at Bishopswood. The hosts raced into a two-goal lead thanks to a goal apiece strikers Darren Scott and Michael Simpson, who curled one in to the top corner from 45 yards. Simpson fired home the third before Corinthians pulled one back with a header from a corner.
In the second half Simpson missed the chance to grab a hat-trick when he skied a penalty which was won by Mike Hunt. Hunt then danced through the Corinthians defence to set up Ben Cousins for number four.
Darren Scott added his second to cap a man-of-the-match performance and Matthew Jarvis came off the bench late on to complete the scoring.
GORING UNITED RESERVES picked up their second win of the season thanks to a 2-1 home win against THE HOP LEAF. Aaron Ploszynski and Tristan Allen were on target for the hosts.
