LUKE FREEMAN netted four goals as AFC HENLEY HURRICANES U13s thrashed ASCOT UNITED RACING U13s 12-3 in their East Berks League Cup encounter.
Henley got off to a shaky start going 1-0 down to their lower league opponents after five minutes.
A neat pass from Will Saunders on the left to Archie Barker allowed him to cross the ball to Jem McAllister to equalise. Henley showed their class with a string of goals as they went into half-time 6-2 up.
Henley dominated the second half as they rattled in another six goals with Ascot netting their third of the game.
McAllister completed his hat-trick while Ben Hudson netted twice and Barker, Jamie Hudson and Ben Yeoman also got their names on the scoresheet.
AFC HENLEY HURRICANES U14s crashed out of their cup competition as they went down 6-0 at home to FLEET SPURS YOUTH SPARTANS. The hosts were outclassed by opposition from the top division in a match played on a heavy pitch in wet conditions. The Hurricanes started brightly and there were forays at both ends but the away side took the lead when a cross from the left side looped over Sam Butler and into the top corner. The visitors added a further goal on 10 minutes.
On 20 minutes Henry McDonagh did well to clear an initial strike on goal but the ball fell straight to a Fleet forward who made it 3-0.
Man-of-the-match Pawel Kazcorowski competed hard in the centre of the park, feeding the attacking quartet, but despite some neat football the Hurricanes were lacking the final ball and cutting edge of the away side. The Hurricanes gave as good as they got for the majority of the second half before the visitors netted three goals in the last five minutes to wrap up the scoring.
