HENLEY TOWN came from a goal down to secure all three points on Tuesday night in their derby clash with Uhlsport Hellenic League Division 1 East local rivals Woodley United at Scours Lane.

Basement-side Woodley were awarded a penalty against the run of play on the half hour mark after a clash of bodies in the box and Lambert made no mistake from the spot.

This appeared to ruffle the Red Kites feathers and a David Stevens free kick a minute later was headed in by Ben Clark to equalise. Just before the half-time interval Stevens struck a well delivered corner which  was met by Jack Thomson-Wheeler to make it 2-1.

The second half was a stalemate with both sides cancelling each other out.

This win secures Henley third position in the league for the season with two games remaining.

Henley Town: Nunn, Malone, Goddard, Mew, Thomas, Kemp, Stevens, Povey, Clark (Tindell, 85 mins), Moore (Richardson, 85 mins), Thomson-Wheeler.
