BADGEMORE PARK has put itself in a strong position behind the leaders at the top of the scratch league with a 3-0 win over Bicester.
With only two more matches to play, including a top-of-the-table clash with The Buckingham, Badgemore face an exciting end to the year.
Outgoing president Allan Harries hosted the annual president’s day. The main competition was won by the team of club captain, Paul Woollard with John Urban, Gareth Tandy and Rosemary French, scoring 96 points. Second place went to the team of David Giles, Ken Arlett, Jeremy Hughes and Michelle Tandy on 94, with the team of Mark Brooks, Lesley Hawkins, Dawson Whitman and Lisa Rafferty third with 92.
Another success was posted by the C team returning from Mapledurham with a 4-2 victory.
Oliver Connell won the Saturday Division 1 October medal with a net score of 65 with Terry Killick runner-up with 66 and Stuart Shurman third on 69. Division 2 was won by Jon Connell with a net 69 score with Eric Marwood winning the C Division.
Calum Miller took the honours of the Sunday Division 1 with a net 69 score with Darren White runner-up on 70 and Terry Killick third on 70. Division 2 was won by Malcolm Sears with net 70 while Richard Lambert won the C Division with 37 points.
