MATT ROBERTSON stormed to victory in the weekend Stableford at Caversham Heath.
Robertson recorded eight pars and seven birdies in his 43 points, with halves of 21 and 22 points. Runner-up was Jon Winstanley with 39 points. He carded nine pars and two birdies but ended bogey, double bogey. Third was David Wise on countback from David Stankard, both with 38 points. Wise scored 10 pars in even halves of 19 points while Stankard went out in 20 points and back in 18 points, scoring 11 pars and two birdies.
Division 2 winner was Simon Walker with 41 points. He went out in 23 points and could have scored more had it not been for a nil return on one hole. Second was Lee Kirton on countback from Peter Bishop, both with 39 points. Both Kirton and Bishop recorded nine pars and two birdies. However, while Kirton ended with a bogey, Bishop ended with two doubles.
Simon Read triumphed in Division 3 with 39 points, including seven pars. Jason Springer was second, on countback from Richard Osborne, both with 35 points.
Anthony George won Division 1 of the Midweek Stableford, on countback from Steve Streak, both with 41 points. Third was Santiago Fernandez-Garcia on countback from Lee Kirton both with 39 points. Division 2 winner was Geoff Parlour with 41 points. Runner-up was Ken Hanson with 37.
