Wise wins in on the back nine

DAVID WISE stormed to victory in the weekend Stableford at Caversham Heath with 23 points on his back nine.

Wise recorded four three-point scores and one four point score as he came home to take victory. Runner-up Deighton Sear also scored 23 points on the back nine, his tally including five three-point scores and seven pars.

There were five players all clamouring for third spot with Lee Kirton getting the nod on countback from Michael Deignan, Chris Green, Gareth Goodall and Gary Pugh, all with 36 points.

Division 2 winner was BenJamin Curran with 41 points. Andy Holmes was second and Gareth Ford took third place on countback from Adam Paul Baker, both with 38 points. Darren Lawrence won Division 3 with 43 points. Mark Russell was runner-up with 38 and third was Raef North with 37.

Jonathan Fleming took the Division 1 prize in the midweek Stableford with 42 points – his tally including 14 pars, three birdies and one bogey. Runner-up was Lee Kirton on countback from Mario Atkinson, both with 39 points. Division 2 winner was Adrian Ford with 36 points. Second was Fung Yee Sarah Lau with 35 and third John Endersby with 34.
