ANDREW THOMPSON, Deborah Harris, Daniel Dover and Caroline Dover triumphed in the annual captains’ day Texas scramble event at Caversham Heath.
The foursome scored 138 points to win from Pam Stapeley, Graham Stapeley, Sue Parcell and Richard Drury. Third were Issy Wiggins-Turner, Kevin Whiting, Suzanne Snow and Barry Reynolds.
The nearest the pin in two shots on the ninth hole prize was won by Simon Gozzard with Nick Ford taking the nearest the pin in two shots prize on the 18th hole.
Christopher Green was nearest the pin on the 17th hole while Russell Coombes won the straightest drive prize and Sunil Shah, Jane Weller, Joyce Collins and Peter Collins won the timed hole prize.
Hosting the day were Caversham Heath captains Chris Bennett and Jim McEvoy.
Dave Williams won Division 1 of the monthly medal with a net 69. Runner-up was Conor Kavanagh on countback from Mark Farrington, both with a net 71.
Division 2 winner was Neil Scott with a net 71. Second was Barry Reynolds with net 73 and third Chris Stacey on countback from Luis Mesquita, both with a net 74.
James Redding claimed the Division 3 prize with a net 71. Runner-up was Ross Johnston with net 72 and third was Wendy Bushell with a net 73.
Twos were recorded by John Downey, Matthew Perry and Luis Mesquita (all on the eighth hole) and by Chris Bennett and Wendy Bushell (17th hole). Kjersti Cannon claimed the Amber Rose Bowl on countback from Fung Yee Sarah Lau, both with 38 points. Third was Suzanne Snow with 36 points.
The junior medal was won by James Millard with a net 68. Matthew Brereford was second with net 69 and Archie Smith was third on countback from Charlie Brown both with net 73.
