The Ladies’ Guy Fawkes Stableford was won by Lynne Rumbold with 38 points. Sue Parcell was runner-up with 35 and third was Daphne Barker, on countback from Sarla Read and Jill McEvoy, all with 33.

Both senior knockout competitions - the Landon Seniors Matchplay and the John Pitt Senior Pairs - were completed last month.

The Landon was won by Pete Collins who overcame Tony Cole, the higher handicapper. Collins also featured in the final of the John Pitt Pairs partnered by Frank Pyle. It was a tough game, but in the end Collins and Pyle beat Mark Thompson and John Pitt.

Winning in the senior knock-outs is not new to either Collins or Pyle. Collins won the first ever Landon Matchplay in 2002 and has been in the John Pitt winning pair no less than three times previously. Pyle has been in the winning pair twice before.

James Saunders and Richard Serrano have won the R&A Cup pairs knock-out competition. In the final they defeated Russell Higgs and Ian Traynor.
