Green takes honours

EASTER stole the show in the annual pre-Christmas three clubs and a putter competition at Caversham Heath.

EASTER stole the show in the annual pre-Christmas three clubs and a putter competition at Caversham Heath.

Alex Easter won the day with a points tally of 41. Runner-up was Mervyn Jones with 39 points and third was David Little with 38 points.

Gareth Goodall won the midweek Stableford Division 1 prize in a tightly contested competition. Goodall scored 38 points, two points ahead of his nearest rivals. Second was Hollis Boisson with 36 and third was Gerry Rogers, on countback from Stephen Beresford and Stephen Gelsthorpe, both with 35.

Division 2 winner was Mark Russell with 37 points. Second was Martin Read on countback from Alan Wright and Colin Parkes, all with 34.

Christopher Green won the weekend Stableford with a score of 38 points. Runner-up was Stuart Webb on countback from Andrew Parker, Dave Williams and John Downey, all with 36.

Division 2 winner was Stephen Thumwood on countback from Duncan Peart, both with 38 points. Third was Chris Parker with 37.

Division 3 winner was Martin Chidgey with 38 points. Runner-up was Damian Cleary with 37 and third was Mark Russell with 36.
