NEIL KELLY ran out winner of the men’s captain’s competition at Henley Golf Club last Saturday held by captain Stewart Mills.
Seven handicapper Kelly came in late in the day with 41 points to pip past captain and president Mike Herriot by one point. Ian Douglas recorded 39 points to take third spot on countback from Derek Flynn, Mike Prince, Simon Lawson and Jason Livy.
The ladies’ competition was won by Rachel Hall with 39 points which was four points better than runner-up Maddie Field. Jenny Stanier was third with 34 points on countback from Karen Pollard.
Tom Hancock won the junior captain’s prize with 36 points which was a point better than Jack Fairhall, Angus Harris-White was third with 33 points. Harris-White won the putting competition whilst Mark Farina won the men’s nearest the pin competition, Ngairey Palin won the ladies’ nearest the pin competition and Jack Fairhall the junior nearest the pin.
