Anderson leads way to take top lady crown

SEVENTEEN-YEAR-OLD Millie Anderson, who plays off a five handicap, has again been crowned lady champion at Badgemore Park. Playing 36 holes over two days Anderson secured this year’s crown with a score of 154.

Meanwhile Wendy Jeldon took the honours in the Lyndon Trophy, a competition that was also played over 36 holes over days. Jelden triumphed with a net score of 143 while Vanessa Callum was second with 146 and Dorothy Arlett third on 147. Elsewhere the Trevor Bertram Trophy held last Sunday was won by the team of Terry Killick, Mary Wein, David Weston and Jeanne Nichols.

Runners-up in the stand aside Texas scramble competition was Kevin Woods, Norma Thomas, Mike Cheale and Graeme Cheese with Danny Fois, Gill Bertram, John Searle and John Cole third.

Cath Adamson hit a hole-in-one on the 13th hole during the competition.
