CAVERSHAM HEATH’S Angie Adamson, a former ladies’ captain at the club, celebrated playing at the Roman Road course at Celtic Manor with a hole in one.

Playing a tricky par three, with a stream, two bunkers and a back pin location to negotiate, Adamson hit a hole-in-one with her driver. She received two shots on the hole, adding six Stableford points to her score.

Matt Robertson hung on to clinch the Division 1 honours in the midweek medal at Caversham Heath.

Two shots separated the top four players, but with all four bogeying the last hole, Robertson clinched top spot with net 73. Jack Russell was second with net 74 and Duncan Peart was third, on countback from Will Tate, both with net 75.

Division 2 winner was Fung Yee Sarah Lau with net 72. Runner-up was Caroline Dover with net 76 and third was Kathy North on countback from Peter Cannon, both with net 77.

Callum Peart took the honours in the junior medal with net 71. Second was James Millard with net 73 and third was Matt Robertson with net 74.

The Caversham duo of Sarla Read and Kathy North performed well in the BCLGA Angela Uzielli Memorial Trophy played at Winter Hill to finish second on countback from a team from Sand Martins. The winners were Calcot Park.

Caversham Heath Ladies began the defence of their bronze league crown at Winter Hill. The team of Kjersti Cannon and Jane Weller, Kathy North and Pamela Stapeley and Caroline Dover and Sarah Lau came away with three points thanks to a win and a halved match.
