Children's competition winners collect prizes

Children's competition winners collect prizes

CHILDREN have collected their competition prizes from a garden centre near Wargrave.

Hare Hatch Sheeplands ran a Halloween treasure trail and a colouring competition last month.

Alice Parrett and Rory Harris, from Wargave, were winners in the under-fours category of the colouring competition.

Other winners included Isabelle Maund, Cameron Greenwood and Grace Heywood, from Charvil, as well as children from Twyford, Wokingham, Tilehurst and Woodley.

They all received family tickets for the Enchanted Players workshops which will be taking place at the centre in the run-up to Christmas and a goody bag with items including colouring books, sweets and stickers.

Meanwhile, Father Christmas will visit the garden centre parade next Saturday (November 26).

He will arrive at about 10.30am on a horse-drawn carriage.

He will then be in his  grotto to meet children.

The grotto will be open from 10am to 4pm over the weekends leading up to Christmas and costs £5 per child, with the proceeds being donated to charity.
