Views sought on local maternity services

HEALTH chiefs are to ask women in the Henley area for suggestions on how to improve maternity services.

HEALTH chiefs are to ask women in the Henley area for suggestions on how to improve maternity services.

The Oxfordshire Clinical Commissioning Group wants to hear about their experiences of maternity, obstetrics and paediatric services, or organisations which represent them, over the last two years.

It is part of a consultation exercise on all health services called the Oxfordshire Healthcare Transformation Programme.

Focus groups aimed at parents and carers are likely to be held next month.

Sarah Breton, lead commissioner for children and young people at Oxfordshire County Council and the commissioning group, said: “This is a fantastic opportunity for local people to get involved in shaping their midwifery and children’s services.

“Whether someone has had a baby in the past few years, is planning to give birth or has experience of midwifery and children’s services at local hospitals, we’d love to hear from them.”
