Communal acupuncture works out cheaper

AN acupuncture clinic where patients can choose how much they pay will be launched in Henley next month.

Three acupuncturists have joined forces to run the clinic, which will offer weekly communal sessions at the Christ Church centre in Reading Road.

Karen Lawrie, Rebecca Hodson and Vanessa Gilbert wanted to make acupuncture accessible and affordable.

They are members of the British Acupuncture Council and each runs their own clinic in the area.

Ms Lawrie, who runs Karen Lawrie Acupuncture in Reading Road, Henley, said: “Ordinarily, acupuncture is done on a one-on-one basis but there are also multi-bed acupuncture clinics which are a more affordable way for people to have acupuncture to treat their illnesses.
