Outreach service

WHITCHURCH’s nearest GP surgery has confirmed it will run an outreach service when the village’s toll bridge closes.

WHITCHURCH’s nearest GP surgery has confirmed it will run an outreach service when the village’s toll bridge closes.

The Boathouse Surgery in Pangbourne, many of whose patients live in Whitchurch, will hold clinics at the village hall on Tuesday mornings from next month.

One doctor will be on call per week and blood tests will be available. Appointments can be made as usual via the surgery.

There were plans to set up a drug collection service at the hall but the surgery says this is not possible.

The bridge shuts for refurbishment on October 3.
