THE chief executive of the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading has resigned after four years

THE chief executive of the Royal Berkshire Hospital in Reading has resigned after four years.

Ed Donald stepped down in the autumn of 2011 after a series of disputes with the hospital board before returning to his desk just before Christmas that year.

Alistair Flowerdew, medical director at the Royal Berks, will be acting chief executive until Mr Donald?s successor is appointed.
