Care home organises talent show

Blooming talent: staff and residents at the Sunrise of Sonning care home took part in a talent show for family and friends

Blooming talent: staff and residents at the Sunrise of Sonning care home took part in a talent show for family and friends.

The show began with community relations associate Gai McNeile singing songs from Cabaret while dressed as Liza Minnelli. Residents Bill Stuff and Lynn Jewitt read poetry and fellow resident Sue Peters gave a hilarious rendition of I'm a Lonely Little Petunia in an Onion Patch.

Gai said: "The residents said it was one of the best nights they've ever had. We often have people coming here to perform, so it was great for our residents to get the opportunity to take to the stage themselves. Events like this are what Sunrise of Sonning is all about."
