Evening classes

A NEW programme of evening classes will begin in Henley in September.

The Workers’ Educational Association is introducing 14 courses which will run until June next year, covering topics including literature, architecture and history.

Classes take place at the Christ Church Centre in Reading Road.

Lowri Cook, who chairs the association’s Henley branch, said the branch decided to work with its counterpart in Marlow to offer a bigger programme of courses.

She said: “Our classes cover the origins of science, English cathedrals, 20th century literature, art in the swinging Sixties, ancient Egypt, climate change, Mozart’s operas and much more.
