Lib-Dem candidate

A SOLICITOR has been chosen as the Liberal Democrat candidate for the Henley constituency at the next general election.

Laura Coyle lives in Streatley and works in Oxford, providing advice and legal representation to tenants and homeless people, primarily through legal aid.

She is married with one son and two stepchildren and has six years’ experience as a local councillor in London.

Mrs Coyle said her campaign priorities were preventing further cuts to local services and ensuring adequate funding for NHS services in Oxfordshire and housing without losing green spaces.

She said: “The Government is in crisis and the Liberal Democrats are well-placed to fight a general election and I am raring to go. The Richmond Park by-election was a stunning win for Lib-Dem Sarah Olney who only joined the party a year ago.

“The Liberal Democrats are the only party committed to preventing a damaging hard Brexit and protecting Britain’s hard-earned place in Europe.

“We will defend the Britain we love. We will stand up for the open, tolerant, united Britain that we believe in.”
