Pub windows plan objection

PLANS to replace windows at the Station House pub in Henley Market Place have been recommended for refusal by town councillors.

Brakspear, which
re-opened the pub last month after a 10-month closure, has applied for permission to replace the casement window facing Market Place with a
bi-fold window and to have a new window facing on to King’s Road.

The town council’s planning commitee objected on the grounds of the plans being out of character in the conservation area and unneighbourly.

South Oxfordshire District Council, the planning authority, will make the final decision by January 23.
