AN office block in Henley could be turned into six flats.
Paul Springet, of New Street, has applied to convert Northfield House in Northfield End, which is currently used as a business centre by a number of companies.
Under the plans drawn up by Tapp Associates, of Henley, there would two flats with two bedrooms on each of floor of the three-storey building and a “very small extension” at the lower ground-floor level to provide an en-suite shower room.
The site currently has 23 parking spaces but these would be reduced to six.
Henley Town Council’s planning committee has recommended the application is approved by South Oxfordshire District Council, the planning authority.
Committee chairman Simon Smith said: “We desperately need two-bedroom flats and hopefully these will not be too expensive.”
A decision will be made by February 28.
