Henley Sceptics and Believers Group

THE group is moving to a new venue, the Red Lion Hotel, for our evening meetings, starting on Monday, March 20, when we will be exploring “The basics of Islam as a world view”. We warmly welcome new members.

A superficial knowledge of Islam leads to prejudice and acceptance of mis-information about the faith.

But there are deeper reasons to explore the claims of Islam as a vast proportion of the world thinks that Islam is true.

Hearing the claims of the faith will also give new perspectives and will shed light on our own views and assumptions.

Our speaker, Amor, is a Muslim and has taught Islamic studies and the Quran in Malaysia and now in High Wycombe.

The main format of the evening will be discussion, both as a whole group and then around tables.

Please come along and get involved. No background knowledge is required to contribute, question, listen or to give your views.

Do come in time to buy a drink and chat before the formal start at 8pm.

Future meetings will be held at the Red Lion on Mondays, April 24, May 15 and June 19 (barbecue) from 7.45am to 10pm.
