Employees of Thames Water in Reading staged an activity day in Henley town centre to raise money for Helen & Douglas House. Hook-a-duck competitions, a cake sale and a raffle were on offer at a stall run by staff in Market Place on October 7.
Other staff ran the charity’s eight stores in Oxfordshire and Buckinghamshire for the day. Neeti Bindra, of Thames Water, who organised the fund-raiser, said: “The feedback was great. Most of the Henley shop’s customers are Thames Water customers too so it was a good opportunity to meet them. We’re really pleased to have been able to support Helen & Douglas House and the amazing work they do in making a difference to so many young people and their families.”
