'No extension'

A BID by a Henley restaurant to serve customers outside before 11am at weekends is being opposed by town councillors.

CAU in Hart Street has applied for planning permission to use its patio and back garden from 9am to 6pm seven days per week. It can already serve customers outside during those hours on weekdays.

Members of the town council’s planning committee said the weekend hours should not be extended. South Oxfordshire District Council will make the final decision.
