Clarification

A REPORT in last week's Henley Standard on Oxfordshire County Council's proposed cuts to daytime services for the elderly stated the council would no longer provide transport and would expect volunteers to carry pensioners in accessible vehicles.

In fact, the council says that although the current transport arrangements may not continue, it would seek to find suitable alternatives and would offer the use of the Oxfordshire Comet dial-a-ride service.
