THIS sawn-off tree trunk in Hurley could easily be passed by without a second glance.
However, pause for a moment and you will see that the top has both a commemorative plaque and Roman numerals carved into it.
It is a memorial to village boat builder Peter Freebody, who died in 2010, aged 76, but whose business is still going strong.
The plaque states that the tree was felled in December 2010 and also lived for 76 years.
