THE Tudor House antiques and collectables building in Duke Street, Henley, must be one of the most characterful businesses in town.

It’s an experience to venture inside where every possible space is filled with interesting items that spark memories of possessions from years gone by.

The building appears to be a well-preserved old house or shop and the brass plaque above the front door states: “This house was originally built between 1560 and 1601 in the reign of Queen Elizabeth I.”

Yet A View From The Bridge, a guide to Henley, states that it dates from 1934. Can any reader tell me which is right?
