DOES anyone know what happened to the old road sign that used to be by Singer’s Park on the riverfront in Henley?

It was mounted on a post and simply said “One-way street” with an old-fashioned arrow pointing in the direction of the station.

Next to the sign — and still present — was this marker stone with the initials “J A & S” and the date 1924 but I do’t know what this refers to.

Can anyone help with that one too?
