Hidden Henley

THERE can be few better positions for a home around here than one with a river view

THERE can be few better positions for a home around here than one with a river view and this one has the elevation to make the most of it.

The property is near Marsh Lock and set into the hill adjoining Wargrave Road.

It has an unusual symbol on one wall that can be seen from the footpath leading from Henley to Shiplake.

The emblem, seen here between two windows, looks like a fruiting tree but otherwise I have no idea what it means. Can a better informed reader help?
