HENLEY’S past has been brought back to life in a resident’s new book.
Elizabeth Hazeldine, who was born in the town, unearthed dozens of previously unseen photographs during her research.
Her work, called Henley-on-Thames Through Time, contains 90 historic images of Henley from the mid-19th century to the Sixties.
They appear alongside modern pictures taken from a similar angle so readers can see how the town has changed over the decades.
Each old picture is accompanied by a caption explaining how certain buildings were used and who built, lived or worked in them.
