HENLEY Ladies 2nds picked up a point as they battle to avoid the drop from the Trysports Three Counties Premier Division 1 at mid-table Wycombe Ladies on Saturday.
The hosts began strongly and put Henley under pressure with the pace of their midfield and forwards.
The Henley defensive unit of Engelmark, Walker, Nutt, Pocock and Green managed to repel much of the early attacking play but it was Wycombe who took an early lead with a clean finish from close range.
Wycombe continued to attack requiring goal line clearances from both Pocock and Nutt. Man-of-the-match Lavis played well in goal throughout, saving with both stick and feet to keep her side in the game.
Henley stepped up a gear in the last 10 minutes and took this into the second half as they began to create chances. Halloran, Lambourne, Brown and Jeremy worked hard up front, making leading runs to receive balls from the wide midfielders Harris and Rogers.
