HA TROPHY holders Henley will return to Nottingham for the second year running next month to contest the final of this year’s competition after despatching Guernsey in the semi-finals at Jubilee Park on Sunday.
The hosts added Butler, Green and Lavish to their squad for the last four match that was watched by a sizeable home crowd.
Henley had the upper hand from the first whistle and soon had the Guernsey defence in disarray.
The hosts came close to scoring on a number of occasions with forwards Hickman and Hedges both being denied by an agile Guernsey keeper.
At the other end Henley’s defence were working hard to contain the counterattacking pace of the Guernsey forwards but some smart saves and quick decision making by keeper Lavish kept the visitors out.
