Goal difference proves decisive as St Mary’s School win
ST MARY’S A team ran out winners of the years three and four primary schools tournament held at Henley’s Jubilee Park last Friday.

Other schools competing in the event included Shiplake, Trinity, Valley Road and Peppard.

Opening fixtures resulted in draws across the board and set the tone for a closely fought afternoon of hockey.

Each team played seven matches in a round robin tournament format. Having played each other in the opening fixture resulting in a draw, Trinity A and St Mary’s A went on to both win all their fixtures finishing on equal points. St Mary’s A took the trophy thanks to a better goal difference.
